I build the whole thing end-to-end: from client kickoff to deployed code.

I'm a full-stack developer; I've been building for the web since high school. Through my own consultancy, Shy Owl Studios, I've delivered dozens of websites and web applications for clients ranging from local businesses to nation-wide brands.

I specialise in Laravel and WordPress (and, in practice, whatever else the problem calls for). I pair the technical work with strong client relations, project management, and a genuine commitment to helping organisations thrive.

I started my postsecondary studies at the University of Toronto, studying CS and philosophy, and I'm now pursuing an Honours Bachelor of Computer Science with a Security Specialisation at Conestoga, where I've deepened my understanding of low-level programming, secure systems design, and collaborative software development.

Eight years of shipping: agencies, enterprise, and my own consultancy.

Where I've worked, what I built, and the stacks I've carried.

    Co-op

    Junior Web Developer (Co-op)

Sandbox Software Solutions · Guelph, ON (Hybrid)

Final four-month co-op term of my Honours BCS, on the projects team of a web agency building and maintaining sites for non-profit, healthcare, and public-sector clients. Reporting to the lead developer.

    • Own client WordPress builds end to end: the agency's shared parent theme, custom ACF/Gutenberg blocks, custom post types and taxonomies, and front-end work in JavaScript and SCSS.
    • Scope and estimate work before it starts, and run developer first-pass QA on medium and large sites before code reaches peer review and formal QA gates.
    • Flag gaps and risks in proposed solutions before they reach production, applying the security-minded habit from my Security specialization to client web work.

    • Built bespoke Laravel applications (invoicing platforms, inventory systems, client portals) and integrations such as a QuickBooks Online connector reconciling WooCommerce orders over OAuth 2.0.
    • Review third-party plugin code before it reaches a client site and trace security defects to root cause in vendor source, including a broken nonce check in a file-upload plugin.
    • Extended an open-source Brightspace MCP server with a Microsoft Entra ID SSO provider, and open-sourced macos-permission-report, a macOS TCC privacy auditor.
